ICL Services Wins Regional Development. The Best for Russia Award
ICL Services’ (part of ICL Group) solution Warehouse Part Recognition System has won the annual competition Regional Development. The Best for Russia in the category Discovery of the Year. The competition is held for the fifth year in a row. Awards are given to the best regional development projects, which helps to highlight the importance of sustainable urban development practices.
The project solves a fairly common problem: at an industrial warehouse with several thousand different items, not knowing what a certain items looks like can mean hours of searching for it. Thanks to the innovative solution developed by ICL Services specialists, employees no longer need to make real photos of goods, as their 3D models are used for recognition instead. The system uses computer vision to recognize parts and show their storage location at the warehouse.

«It takes less than a second to recognize parts with a 99% accuracy. Employees no longer need to spend a lot of time memorizing similar parts and can use it for other important tasks at the warehouse. This ensures higher productivity as a whole,» explains Damir Zalyaev, Senior Software Design Engineer at ICL Services.
The project Warehouse Part Recognition System also received the Time for Innovation-2021 award in the category Technical Innovation of the Year.
