The Bank constructed a high-rise building in the center of Moscow and planned to move all its employees there. At the final stages of construction, it was necessary to install Huawei uninterruptible power supplies.
The installation was complicated by the fact that other construction operations were underway in the building, and it was necessary to install uninterruptible power supplies in a short time on New Year's Eve.
The Bank invited ICL Services to act as a contractor, since the Company has already participated in the implementation of urgent projects for this Customer, in addition, it is a Huawei Enterprise Gold Partner possessing rich expertise in the field of equipment installation in a short time.
Key Challenges
- Install uninterruptible power supply systems
Before starting, ICL Services inspected the facility together with the managers and chief engineers of the Customer. It turned out that in the dedicated room for the installation of batteries, the builders had not yet had time to provide heating and complete other construction operations. In order to start the installation faster, the ICL Services team took over the coordination of the workers' activities.
Then the engineers proceeded to the installation of 4 uninterruptible power supply systems, consisting of the following components:
- 11 smart racks: logic and control modules that provide the UPS function.
- 80 battery racks with built-in fire extinguishing systems.
Other contractors worked in the same room to lay cables and install low-current systems. ICL Services discussed all the procedures with other installers and organized the activities so that the teams did not interfere with each other.
In addition to the installation itself, the engineers also participated in commissioning and other operations together with the vendor.
