client is Alabuga Development LLC, a general contractor within the Alabuga
Industrial Development Zone (IPT SEZ) JSC, which has extensive experience
implementing projects at various stages of construction. It specializes in the
integrated management of investment and construction projects.
The client needed to implement integrated fire safety systems to obtain official permission to operate their office.The existing alarm system did not meet modern standards and requirements, given the specific layout of the office space. ICL Services was brought in to address this issue.

In response to the identified problems with the lack of protected fire protection systems, ICL Services specialists developed and implemented a comprehensive solution, including the installation of IPDL S2000-IPDL version 100 and S2000-IPDL version 60 linear fire alarm detectors. This solution is designed to effectively protect large office spaces with high ceilings exceeding 15 meters.
One of the key challenges was the proper placement of the detectors in challenging installation conditions.
1. Ceiling ducts and trays housing electrical and low-current systems significantly complicated the task. Engineers conducted a thorough space analysis to determine optimal installation locations to avoid signal interference and ensure maximum detector performance.
2. The suspended ceiling also imposed limitations on the installation height and visibility of the detectors. Therefore, the team developed special mounts and mounting schemes that allowed the detectors to be installed in a manner that would not obscure them and allow them to perform their functions effectively.
3. Given that the office was operational during the installation of the systems, the team organized the work to minimize disruption to employees. Prior consultations with staff were held to select off-peak hours for installation, and all safety precautions were ensured.
Project Challenges
The existing office environment limited installation opportunities, so all work was performed exclusively at night. Strict requirements were established for the safety of office furniture and employee property, as well as for maintaining cleanliness after the end of night shifts.
The congested ceiling space, with its existing utility lines, complicated the configuration of the IPDL linear detectors.
Nevertheless, the specialists successfully overcame the challenges posed by the complex installation conditions and created a safe working environment for employees, minimizing the risk of potential fires.
