A global leader in electronics production faced the problem of ensuring its network infrastructure's stable operation in all of its Russian representative offices for 500+ employees and 250+ network devices.
To solve this complex problem, the company turned to ICL Services as an experienced partner with proven expertise in servicing IT infrastructure of international corporations.
Key Challenges
- Establishing a unified system for monitoring and managing the network infrastructure.
- Implementing a proactive approach to detecting and resolving network problems.
- Standardizing IT infrastructure maintenance processes in all the divisions.
- Ensuring a high level of availability and performance of the network services.
- Ensuring the continuity of the company’s business processes in Russia.
The project started in early April 2024. During the first month, a study of the existing infrastructure was arranged. Our specialists studied the current condition of the network equipment, software and processes in all the offices and production sites of the customer. This allowed us to identify bottlenecks and areas that required priority attention.
Alongside with the study, we set up the monitoring systems. The project team selected and implemented tools for real-time monitoring of the network infrastructure status. This required not only technical skills but also close interaction with the customer’s employees to take into account the company's specifics.
The second month of the project is dedicated to optimizing the work processes. Based on the study data and taking into account new monitoring system's capabilities, the team developed and implemented a number of improvements: automation of routine tasks, clear instructions for staff, and optimization of network traffic routing.
An important aspect of the work was training the customer’s company employees for the new procedures and tools. Regular trainings and seminars were arranged for the staff to quickly adapt to the changes and effectively use the system's new capabilities.
By early June 2024, the company had a standardized support system to ensure stable operation of the network infrastructure in all its offices and production sites. This did not only increase the reliability of the network, but also significantly simplified its maintenance and development.
As part of the project, the ICL Services team introduced a number of advanced technologies taking network infrastructure support to a new level:
1. Automated monitoring. The system implemented monitors the status of all the network components in real time. This allows you to prevent up to 80% of potential problems before they occur, providing a proactive approach to maintenance;
2. Intelligent diagnostics. Using machine learning algorithms to analyze network traffic patterns enables to detect anomalies at an early stage. This significantly increases the speed of response to potential threats and minimizes the risk of failures.
Results
- The customer received a reliable, efficient and modern network infrastructure support system that fully meets the international corporation's high standards.
- The introduction of advanced monitoring and diagnostic technologies also enabled the customer to move from reactive to proactive management of the IT infrastructure and significantly improve its reliability and efficiency.
- The downtime and network disruptions were minimized, as well as the uninterrupted operation of its offices and production sites were ensured.
- The speed of solving IT problems was increased.
- The customer got a transparent reporting system
