The customer of the project is a Russian manufacturer of computing equipment. The company produces high-tech computer equipment with a high degree of localization for the automation of business processes in all sectors of business and government agencies.
The company develops solutions for commercial and industrial organizations, as well as for large customers from the public sector.During the procurement process, the company encountered the fact that the department employees were manually searching for suitable tenders, spending a lot of time and effort on this. In addition, tenders were lost, since some of them were published chaotically on electronic trading platforms, the subject and name of the tender often did not match, which made it difficult to find the necessary documents.
To solve these problems, the customer came to the conclusion that it was necessary to implement automated procurement monitoring, the main purpose of which is to reduce the time it takes to find relevant tenders.
Thus, after successfully testing the product in the tender department within its own company, ICL Services decided to offer Palantir to solve the customer's problem.Key Challenges
- Automate procurement monitoring
- Implement the Palantir solution into the client's IT infrastructure
About the product
"Palantir" is a development by ICL Services, which is a robot assistant based on Python technology for searching for tenders. The distinctive and main feature of the solution is the ability to use the user interface to collect data and manage applications.
"Palantir" allows you to find among a large number of offers exactly those purchases that could be of interest to the tender department, by setting up keywords.
The product works on the following principle: the program reads and analyzes the technical specifications, and then sends a report to an employee of the tender department, which indicates the name of the tender, documentation, deadlines, as well as the keywords by which the search was carried out. The keywords are determined by the department employee for each of the customers and are ranked according to a point system. The robot sends such a report three times a day.
"Palantir" has practically no analogues on the market, since other technologies work with the help of a filter and require a specialist who manually checks the work done by the robot, or solutions require additional licensing of RPA platforms.
Solution
Palantir was tasked with quickly searching for and monitoring tenders in which the customer could participate, improving the quality of analytical reports, and finding relevant purchases.
Automated procurement monitoring was implemented in a short time. The ICL Services team worked with the customer's sales and tender departments on the technical specifications, analyzed the keywords necessary for the plant, and configured the Palantir solution in two months.
The third month was the testing phase: ICL Services adjusted the robot settings for customers and regions. Thus, in just three months, ICL Services was able to implement a new product in the production process of the tender department.
