International biotechnological company

The customer of the project was a multinational biotechnology company, an international concern for the production of seeds and fertilizers for agriculture.

Employees at the customer's company were keeping track of orders for seeds and plant protection products (PPP) in an Excel file, which external contractors, such as warehouses and transportation companies, had no access to.

This created a major challenge for the customer: the company needed a system that would facilitate interaction among all parties through a web interface and a unified process. ICL Services was brought in to address this issue.

Implemented our solution

  1. The ICL Services team, in close collaboration with the customer's business team, developed a concept for an application that maintained process continuity while addressing issues that had been building up when using MS Excel.

    Subsequently, the team outlined functional requirements and got them approved. The development team, consisting of 4 developers, an analyst, a tester, and a project manager, used these requirements as a guideline as they worked on the application over the course of 5 months.

    During the application's month-long pilot, ICL Services worked with key users to test real-life business scenarios and make sure that the application fully met business needs and addressed the challenges identified.

    The application now receiving support from ICL Services. The system is undergoing continuous development, as we are creating new modules and adding enhanced functionalities for existing modules.

    The entire project was completed in exactly 6 months, concluding in early 2024.
