One of the largest banks in Russia planned to install Huawei data storage systems in 16 cities of Russia: from the central regions and the North-West to the Far East and the south of the country. The peculiarity of the project was that installation and commissioning had to be performed simultaneously in all cities, while it was only a week to prepare for the implementation of the project.
The Bank has invited ICL Services to act as a contractor, as the company is a Huawei Enterprise Gold Partner.
Key Challenges
- Prepare a detailed plan to implement the project together with the Customer, as well as documentation for engineers in the field.
- Install storage systems in 16 cities of Russia within a week.
Implemented our solution
Before starting, ICL Services employees met with the Customer and discussed the preliminary plan for the implementation of the project.
At the same time, documentation was developed and installation specialists were trained. In addition, experienced engineers who were already familiar with the equipment provided remote support.
In each of the 16 cities, one controller and several disk shelves were installed. Also, the integration of the equipment into the existing infrastructure of the Customer was ensured. A total of 32 engineers took part in the implementation of this project on the ground.
After the equipment installation, ICL Services confirmed the operability and connected to the Customer’s system.
