With growing electricity demands and the need to upgrade the power infrastructure, the Customer urgently needed to keep receiving power reliably and efficiently. The existing capacity could not handle the increased loads, jeopardizing the enterprise’s ability to scale and meet client commitments.
To address this issue, a comprehensive modernization of the external power supply system was initiated.Key Challenges
- Assessing the existing infrastructure.
- Increasing power supply capacity.
- Designing new distribution boards, laying cable lines.
- Ensure the stability and reliability of power supply to prevent interruptions in production processes.
- Develop and implement an effective grounding system to improve equipment operational safety and personnel protection.
- Transition smoothly to the new system without disrupting the production process.
The client determined that a comprehensive modernization of the external power supply system was necessary. This project included a detailed assessment of the existing capacity, with a spotlight on major bottlenecks in the power distribution system.
The assessment determined that capacity needed to be increased to 1000 kW to ensure a stable power supply. This required not only installing new distribution boards but also creating a reliable grounding system to improve equipment operational safety and personnel protection.
The team began implementing a comprehensive set of measures to modernize the external power supply system, which became an important step toward ensuring sustainable growth and development of the client’s enterprise amid increasing market demands.
As part of the external power supply system upgrade, for the client received working documentation, including all the necessary technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications for installing new switchboard equipment and laying power cables.
The working documentation was based on a detailed analysis of the existing infrastructure and on the client’s requirements. The following aspects were considered during the development process:
— Parameters for the new equipment, including the main distribution board (MDB) capacities of 350kW and 300kW, which was well within the enterprise’s needs.
— Diagrams for connecting the new MDBs to the network, along with grounding schematics to ensure operational safety.
— Routes for laying the twelve APvBshp 4x240 0.4kV cable lines, up to 90 meters long, from the transformer substation complex to the new main distribution boards, designed according to all the applicable norms and standards.
Based on the documentation that we designed, the supply and installation of electrical switchboard equipment was carried out as follows:
— All components, including main distribution boards and auxiliary elements, were delivered on time and met the specified requirements.
— A professional team installed the electrical switchboard equipment in compliance with all safety standards and methods. New MDBs were installed, optimizing load distribution and improving power supply reliability.
Twelve cable lines were laid to provide reliable connection between the transformer substation complex and the new MDBs. While working on the task, we followed all the necessary precautions to minimize the risk of cable damage.
Products and technologies
