Development of power supply and lighting systems for a boarding house in Tatarstan

The local Muslim religious organization is the parish of the Suleiman Mosque of the Mukhtasibat of the Kirovsky and Moscow districts of Kazan, a centralized religious organization, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The boarding house was being built from scratch and intended for the accommodation and education of children, which automatically placed the facility in a category with increased requirements for safety, reliability, and the quality of its engineering systems.

During the pre-implementation stage, the client faced the need for additional review of the design documentation for the electrical supply and lighting systems. Inaccuracies and solutions requiring adjustments were identified in the documentation, taking into account actual loads and changing requirements for the facility.

Furthermore, as the project developed, the requirements for the lighting systems and design capacities changed. This necessitated the adaptation of the electrical panel equipment and the revision of a number of technical solutions to ensure:

— compliance with GOST and SNiP standards,
— energy efficiency,
— reliable operation of the systems under the design load,
— safe operation in an educational facility.

The client required a contractor capable of not only installing the system, but also conducting a technical audit, properly integrating the systems, and ensuring the project's implementation within the constantly changing conditions.

Key Challenges

  • Conduct a technical audit of design documentation for the electrical supply and lighting sections
  • Adjust solutions to address identified deficiencies and changes in requirements
  • Install and commission internal and façade electrical supply and lighting systems
  • Ensure the facility complies with current regulations for educational institutions
Implemented our solution

  1. The total area of the facility was 2,618.58 square meters. Work was carried out concurrently with the building's construction, requiring precise coordination with other contractors.

    Technical Audit and Project Adjustments

At this stage, specialists conducted a detailed analysis of the design documentation and verified the accuracy of load calculations, equipment selection, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a result, the system parameters were refined and the control panel equipment was adapted to the increased load—the final estimated power was 240 kW. This prevented future overloads and ensured a power reserve for stable operation.

    Electrical Supply and Lighting Implementation

    The project included:

    — approximately 1,000 light fixtures were installed,
    — over 700 sockets and switches were installed,
    — over 10 km of cable lines were laid,
    — control panel equipment was installed.

A separate task was the integration of façade lighting with the building's architectural design. The work required coordinating the lighting solutions with the structural elements of the façade and the overall concept of the facility. A team of engineers ensured proper connection, line protection, and stable system operation in outdoor conditions.

The project was implemented under constant adjustments from the client. Experts established a rapid response system: they quickly recalculated loads, made changes to the circuit diagrams, and approved updated solutions on time. This minimized overtime and maintained project manageability.

Products and technologies

  • Electrical control equipment from Elektrostal Scientific and Production Enterprise
  • Lighting system based on LumSmart equipment

Results

  • A power supply system was installed for a 2,618.58 sq. m facility.
  • A rated capacity of 240 kW was provided.
  • Approximately 1,000 light fixtures were installed.
  • Over 700 sockets and switches were installed.
  • Over 10 km of cable were laid.
  • The facility fully complies with regulatory requirements for educational institutions.
  • The project exemplifies a comprehensive engineering approach, from documentation audit to final commissioning. The result is a safe, energy-efficient, and reliable space for children to live and study in.
