The project customer
is one of the largest oil producing companies in Russia.
The company had been using an import-independent application previously developed by ICL Services experts to automate monitoring of the status and integrity of oil production facilities.Over time, due to the ever-increasing volume of data, the company needed to expand the application's functionality. This required the addition of two large modules with extensive graphs and reports, as well as the ability to process large volumes of data. The ICL Services team was brought in to address this challenge.

Implemented our solution
- Introduction
The project was implemented using agile development methodology. The ICL Services team employed an Agile approach with short iterations and regular demonstrations of interim results to the client. This allowed them to quickly address changing requirements and adjust functionality as the project evolved.
Close collaboration with the client was established from the very beginning. Constant communication ensured timely approval of architectural solutions and integrations with other corporate systems. For ease of management and transparency, the process was divided into several logical stages.
Project Progress
During the first phase, specialists collected and analyzed requirements in detail. They studied the customer's industrial processes, identified key system use cases, and based on these, prepared design solutions and specifications for the development of new modules.
The project then entered the full development cycle. The team implemented the required functionality, conducted comprehensive testing, and prepared user and system administration documentation. Particular attention was paid to the correct data migration, which ensured the integrity and continuity of business processes.
The project also included a software upgrade. The system was migrated to modern platform versions—.NET 8 and Angular 18. This improved performance, security, and overall stability.
In addition, an analytics module with advanced data visualization capabilities was developed. Users gained access to a large number of graphs displaying high-frequency data over various timeframes—from one year to several decades. This approach significantly simplified the analysis and interpretation of information.
To speed up and improve the reliability of implementation, the team configured automation and deployment processes. The use of CI/CD ensured fast, secure, and controlled system updates.
The final stage was a trial run of the solution. Following the pilot, the system was transferred to production operation and maintenance, which continues to be provided by the ICL Services team.
