Syngenta has successfully migrated 1С ERP to Cloud.ru

Syngenta, one of the world’s leading producers of crop protection products, has successfully migrated its 1C ERP system to Cloud.ru. This project was executed by the Cloud.ru team in collaboration with ICL Services, a provider of cloud and AI technology.

The primary objective of the project was to replace a foreign enterprise management solution with the Russian 1C ERP software, while also migrating it to the cloud. The decision was made to utilize the Cloud.ru cloud platform for this migration. The migration process took place in two stages: an initial test migration followed by a productive migration. To enhance security, multi-factor authentication was configured for 1C ERP users. The productive migration phase proceeded without issues, completing in under two months.

Maxim Martynov, Head of Large and Medium Business at Cloud.ru, stated:

“For the migration project, we recognized the high demands regarding reliability and the significant increase in both users and operations within the 1C ERP system. We proposed the Cloud.ru cloud platform, which offers advanced services. This solution ensures scalable resources and guarantees a system availability level of 99.95%.”

“This was a multi-stage project unified by a common goal: to assist the customer in migrating its enterprise management system to a Russian solution, thereby maintaining access to the infrastructure of the parent company. It was advantageous that part of the existing infrastructure was already hosted on the Cloud.ru platform, with which the customer was familiar. The platform’s reliability met the project’s requirements. This marks our fifth project with Syngenta, and we are pleased to support the company's business continuity.”
