ICL Services to showcase its Linux migration strategy at TAdviser conference
The TAdviser conference titled "Import Substitution 2023: A Real Experience" is scheduled to take place in Moscow on September 13. As an official partner of the forum, ICL Services will introduce its unique approach to migrating custom applications to Linux at the event.
At the event, Roman Kosachev, head of software solutions and products for workplace infrastructure, will discuss the most challenging aspect of transitioning workstations to Linux — the migration of user applications. Emphasis will be placed on the corporate strategy for managing migration and providing operational support.
"A few years back, implementing Linux in workplace infrastructure posed significant challenges for both users and administrators. However, the tide is turning, and an increasing number of companies are opting for Russian Linux distributions kits as the primary OS for user devices.
This is partly thanks to the efforts of local developers to enhance the usability and serviceability of Russian operating systems. Nevertheless, migration challenges persist. I will explain how to anticipate and tackle those challenges in my presentation. I will also provide insights into our proprietary product — Kolibri-ARM — which makes the migration process more efficient, swift, and manageable," says Roman Kosachev.
ICL Services experts will also join the discussions on the main agenda of the TAdviser conference: the emergence of a sovereign and advanced IT market in Russia.
