ICL Services has unveiled a new Russian solution for automating servers, data centers, and edge devices – Colibri-DC.
Product and service company ICL Services, together with the Colibri-UEM team, presented a new solution, Colibri-DC – a configuration management and automation system for routine processes within a business's core IT infrastructure. The solution is suitable for companies of all sizes: from organizations with dozens of servers to enterprises with hundreds of nodes and large data centers. This approach ensures infrastructure continuity, optimizes operating costs, and significantly improves operational productivity.
The system is designed to work with both server infrastructure and edge devices. Colibri-DC automates server and virtual machine maintenance, deploys, performs complex patching, manages configurations, automatically resolves incidents, and more. The system also ensures rapid recovery of distributed devices. This allows for equally efficient operation with tens or thousands of nodes—operations remain stable even under heavy loads.
One of the main application scenarios is supporting distributed edge infrastructure—from self-service kiosks, checkouts, and barcode scanners in warehouses to diagnostic stations, operator panels, and industrial equipment in manufacturing. Regardless of the industry, a failure of these devices can halt business processes: customer service, production operations, quality control, or logistics.
With Colibri-DC, such situations are no longer a problem. For example, if an error occurs on an industrial controller, the system automatically diagnoses and resolves the issue in 10–30 minutes using a single-window approach. The process is carried out without specialist intervention, eliminating the need for on-site engineers.
The second scenario for using Colibri-DC is in corporate server parks and data centers: where the company's most critical business continuity services are concentrated. Here, the system manages a complex landscape of servers and virtual machines, automatically performing updates, managing configurations, and maintaining a high level of cybersecurity. Rapid updates, automatic configuration control, and incident resolution reduce vulnerabilities and minimize human error.
"We are confident that, in the context of import substitution, Colibri-DC will become a key tool for Russian companies, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and technological independence of IT infrastructures. It reduces financial losses from equipment downtime, accelerates the implementation of new technologies, and increases in workload no longer require an increase in IT staff," comments Ilnur Ibragimov, the product's technical director.
