Inevitable Windows update: How do i migrate effectively?

On November 13, 2014 with the support of Microsoft company there will be an event "Migrating from Windows XP to Windows 8.Challenges and opportunities". During this event we will talk about the new features, as well as the difficulties of the migration to Windows 8, we will share our experience of implementing migration projects, and discuss the most effective methods and techniques for the migration to the new platform.

Migrating to a new operating system is not just a word. This is the reality. To let things drift is a dangerous optimism. Business can be increasingly burdened by situations of forced inactivity, and falling productivity. IT service will be increasingly affected by viruses and malicious software. The question "Who will suffer the first?" —soon will sound very seriously.

So who can help with good advice? Of course, the person who has successfully completed a number of such migration projects for the world’s leading companies. That is why we invite you to take part in an organized professional discussion of updating client operating systems Microsoft Windows. The discussion was held by ICL Services supported by Microsoft.

On the round table you can address the following issues:

  • How is it possible to reduce the number of cases of forced inactivity of employees due to seamless migration of user data and settings by 20%;
  • How to optimize your IT budget by automated approach to migrating to a new operating system and to reduce the scope of work on technical support after migration by 65%;
  • How to solve problems with compatibility of legacy business applications with the new OS;
  • How to build a process of management of operating systems image and applications including optimization of the software.

ICL Services will talk about the broad practices and experiences of migration for the world’s leading companies, and what "pitfalls" users should fear. We will demonstrate various migration scenarios on live display stand and show how to estimate the costs of the migration project, and answer the question why to stay on Windows XP is a bad idea.

The event is aimed at managers of IT departments, departments of development/maintenance of the IT infrastructure. If to you or your department face challenges of migration to a new platform, and you want to know the best way to implement it — this event is for you!

We recommend to register right now as the number of participants is strictly limited.
