ICL Services

Luxury Perfume and Cosmetics Retailer

The project was commissioned by a leading perfume and cosmetics brand in the retail sector. For over a decade, the company has maintained a leading position in the Russian market for cosmetics and skincare products. Currently, the company has more than 80 stores across Russia, in addition to a substantial online store.
The Customer was tasked with ensuring the autonomy of its IT infrastructure in Russia from that of its parent company in France.

Simultaneously, there was a need to replace the European IT infrastructure service provider with a Russian company. ICL Services proposed a solution to this situation.

Key Challenges

  • Ensure the autonomy of the Russian network infrastructure from that of the parent company in France
  • Provide 24/7 monitoring of network device functionality and respond to any disruptions
  • Carry out setup and modify network equipment configurations promptly
  • Minimize the number of network equipment malfunctions
  • Relocate the wireless network controller from France to Russia
Solution

Implemented our solution

  1. Inspection and service initiation phase

Preparations to take over infrastructure support commenced on January 9, 2023.

Initially, ICL Services experts interviewed the current service provider and audited the existing network infrastructure.

The next step involved launching the systems required to deliver the service:

    ●      A system for secure remote access to the infrastructure,

    ●      A system for monitoring network equipment,

    ●      A system for managing network equipment configurations (for identifying configuration changes and creating configuration backups)

Simultaneously, tasks were performed to organize the necessary business processes and functions for service delivery:

    ●      Service Desk was launched to handle phone and email inquiries,

    ●      The service manager's operations were initiated, among other things

    Network infrastructure transformation

By the end of January, the infrastructure was prepared for a transition — transferring service from a European provider to ICL Services and disconnecting the network infrastructure from the parent company.

The transition was scheduled for February 6, and by this time the ICL Services team prepared all the Customer's network equipment, including:

    ●      83 stores across Russia, housing 426 network devices,

    ●      34 network devices in the central Moscow office,

    ●      38 network devices in two Moscow data centers.
